About the Wild Workspaces 'work-away' residential
wed 9th - fri 11th july 25

A few years ago I founded Wild Workspaces Co-Working events.  A place to come together and work in the wild!

After the years we had in lock down and with more remote and isolated working, the norm for many. I was struck by the loneliness that was being reported and the impact that this was having on people's sense of self and focus.

Whilst there are plenty of great things about working this way. We also need connection with others.

Whilst its great that you can trundle to the fridge, whilst you procrastinate your next task.  From time to time we value a new environment, away from the home office.

Combined with that was the pace at which everything sped back up and how easy it was for life to disconnect for our natural, wild selves again.

At the wild workspaces co-working events, people wrote blogs amongst trees, sat by the fire to network naturally with no pressure.

They planned strategy and gained new perspectives on their business and work.

AND they benefitted from the neuroscience of Nature Connection on body and mind too.

All in a days wild work!

So many of the people that attended the wild workspaces community shared how they wished for more time. Protected for themselves, creative, low tech thinking and exploring with time for wellness too.

SO I LISTENED because Nature is Where the Mind Grows and I want to support more great and purposefully impactful organisations and founders to have well-being at the core of your success.  Nature in you heart and innovative inspiration at their finger tips.

NEW to 2025 - is Wild Workspaces Workaway Residential.

All the wonderful bits of Wild Workspaces Co-working as a 'workaction'  [ like vacation with some focused work time] for yourself and your business.

Over 2.5 Days you'll find time to for productivity and planning.

Workshops to nurture practical business stuff and help you enhance workplace well-being.

Our evenings will be spent connecting together, reflecting and eating scrumptious food - with some wild activities to fuel the soul and mind too!

As a wild workspace attendee once said 'You'll get sh*t done" and leave with rewilded and re-energised.

So, are you in?

The geeky stuff:  How the wild can help you and out business!

Nature as a Strategic Catalyst:

In our hyper-connected, digitally saturated business landscape, the most innovative leaders are discovering an unexpected source of strategic insight: the wilderness. Far from being a mere escape, time spent in nature offers profound, measurable benefits for business strategy, leadership development, and creative problem-solving.

Cognitive Restoration and Strategic Thinking Natural environments act as a powerful reset button for the executive brain. Research consistently shows that exposure to natural settings reduces cognitive fatigue, enhances creative thinking, and improves complex problem-solving abilities. The unstructured complexity of natural landscapes mirrors the intricate challenges of business strategy, allowing leaders to perceive patterns and connections that remain obscured in traditional office environments.

Stress Reduction and Decision-Making Clarity Chronic stress suffocates  strategic thinking an innovation. Natural settings trigger physiological relaxation responses that lower cortisol levels, reduce mental noise, and create space for more nuanced, considered decision-making. Leaders who regularly immerse themselves in nature demonstrate increased emotional intelligence, improved resilience, and a more balanced approach to organizational challenges.

Systems Thinking and Ecological Leadership Nature provides the ultimate masterclass in complex systems. Ecosystems demonstrate remarkable adaptability, interconnectedness, and resilience—precisely the qualities modern organizations need. By observing natural systems, leaders can develop more holistic, adaptive strategic approaches that prioritise sustainability, interdependence, and long-term thinking. As a regenerative leadership coach, our events weave living systems thinking, biomimicry and ecopsychology into our experiences.

Catalysing Creativity and Innovation  The seemingly random yet intricate patterns of natural environments stimulate divergent thinking. Fractals in tree branches, the unpredictable flow of rivers, and the complex interactions of ecosystem inhabitants offer powerful metaphors and inspiration for innovative business solutions. Many breakthrough ideas have emerged not in boardrooms, but during moments of quiet observation in natural settings.

Technological Detox and Authentic Connection In an era of constant digital bombardment, nature offers a rare opportunity for genuine, uninterrupted reflection. Disconnecting from screens and reconnecting with natural rhythms allows leaders to tap into deeper wells of intuition, empathy, and strategic vision.

Beyond Professional Development to Holistic Leadership: The benefits extend beyond immediate strategic advantages. Regular engagement with nature cultivates a leadership approach characterised by patience, humility, and a broader understanding of interconnected systems. It transforms leadership from a transactional role to a more holistic, regenerative practice. It can also support you in being more compassionate and connected leader for your inner self.

Emerging Research and Validation Cutting-edge research in environmental psychology, neuroscience, and organisational behaviour continues to validate the profound impact of nature on cognitive function, creativity, and leadership effectiveness. Forward-thinking organisations are increasingly integrating nature-based approaches into their development, with direct impact being and doing, in natural surrounds.

A Call to Reimagine Leadership Strategic insight isn't confined to conference rooms and spreadsheets. It emerges from a deeper, more nuanced engagement with the world around us—a world that has been solving complex adaptive challenges for millions of years.

Nature isn't just a backdrop to business—it's a profound teacher, waiting to transform how we think, lead, and create

FAQ's

WILL I HAVE TO WORK THE WHOLE TIME I AM THERE?

You'll get to choose when you want to work and not.

We have some structured timings like meals & workshops but you can choose how you use your time, between rest and work.

YOU SAY 'LOW TECH' WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Little Seed Field, is in a beautiful and remote location.

There is no WiFi but many of our event attendees have tethered their phones to laptops for internet access (subject to your data tariff and signal)

There is access to power sockets in your cabins and the communal workspaces.

Our event is aimed at working differently - encouraging notebooks, flip charts and word documents (if you have too) - a chance to be reflective, strategize or simply ponder. You'll be amazed how much you can get done, doing little!

We recommend bringing a data stick to back up your work to while you are here - if using your tech.

WHAT TYPES OF ACTVITIES AM I EXCPECTED TO WORK ON?

This is really up to you.

Our optional workshops will help inspire focus and the welcome pack will help you prepare. In the past Wild Workspacer's have come with detailed plans and to do lists, while others bought nothing but a notebook and pen.

I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, ACCESSIBILITY OR FAITH NEEDS - IS THIS EVENT SUITABLE FOR ME?

We will gather your dietary and health needs on sign up and cater to these requirements.

The venue is not accessible by public transport easily.

There is one cabin with wheel chair accessibility.

Most paths have hardstanding routes, meaning you can access some of the beautiful Nature spaces onsite.

The site is however set on a hill so people with limited mobility may need to be aware of this.

We are happy to clarify and explore options to help make this a great space to be.

Space can be arranged for faith practices.

WILL I HAVE TO SHARE A CABIN WITH SOMEONE I DON'T KNOW?

Our shared options are for people who know each other already to book together. We won't ask you to share with someone you don't know.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE PART IN THE WORKSHOPS?

Our workshops are aimed to be of valuable to people attending the event but there is no pressure to attend, if you are happy 'doing your own thing'.

I'D LIKE TO ATTEND THE DAY TIME ONLY, AND STAY NEARBY OR AT HOME - WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

If you choose one our of 8 '2-day wild workspaces day passes' you'll be able to take part in everything apart from stay in the cabin or onsite over-night. Access to the event will be valid Wed and Thurs (9-10th July) between the hours of 9am and 8pm.
